    mexican Altecs?

    the last pic in this appears to say M?xico on the magnet.

    It also has a 137 EIA code which translates to CTS(Chicago Telephone Supply).

    CTS supplied some OEM product to Altec.

    It is possible that driver came from an Altec speaker system.
    Not all vegetables make good leaders.
